After a Monroe County Schools Transportation Department employee tested positive for Covid-19, a group of students and several other transportation staffers are being quarantined.

The transportation employees had been on a bus route for special needs students from several different schools. School officials, working with the Department of Health, have determined which students and staff members had close contact with the affected employee.

Parents of the students have been contacted and have been provided with information as guidance to assist them during the quarantine period.

This action is consistent with other staff and student Covid-19 cases within the school system.
