After a lot of prayer, a single mom, now widowed, re-connected with her estranged son after many years of not hearing from him. She let him know she would meet him wherever he chose, because she really wanted to see him. When she arrived at the address which he gave to her she found that it was a gay bar. As she sat at the table with him he asked her, "Do you think less of me that I am gay?" Her wise reply was, "Do you think less of me that I am straight?"
She knew that she was called to love and not to judge. She knew God was the only one who could fill the void in his life, as well as hers! That's why Jesus came!
John 3:16 and 17 tells us "why" we have a Christmas Story; "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
I believe we all have been created with a special purpose and assignment! We were created out of love to show His love uniquely! What an honor! We were called to love, not to judge or condemn, but to love! God knew we needed a Savior to bring us victory over that which would steal, kill and destroy our lives. God so loved that He gave!
A few years later I had the opportunity to agree with this widow in prayer and later meet with this young man in a coffee shop. I asked him if I could speak a blessing into his life and he said, "yes". As I looked him in the eyes I agreed with the purpose Father God had for him even before He created the world! (Eph 1) I blessed his life with the knowledge of how much God loved him and how very special he was. I then asked him if I could cancel assignments that were sent against him to rob him of his destiny and he said, "yes"! (Jn10:10) I watched God enter a life because love triumphed!
(Widows, remember God will establish your territory! Your family is your territory and God wants us to agree with Him for His will to be made manifested to them! Our neighborhood, city, state and nation are also our territories to pray over! We have purpose and a special place in His Body. God certainly hears our cry and He will establish our territory! (Ex 22:23; Pro 15:25) What an honor to partner with Heaven!)
Wherever you are in life this Christmas morning, know God loves you too. In fact, so much so, He gave everything needed for you to have victory! Agree today with your special assignment which He has for you and let this be the best Christmas ever! Every day say "yes" to the assignment for your day and let Holy Spirit lead you. Everything else becomes secondary and will fall into place when we put Him first! (Matt 6:33) His love is straight.... straight from Heaven! And is the greatest Gift of all!
Merry Christmas from all of us at Anna's Gate! We Love you!!!!
