Mr. Rogers Documentary Movie Night

Thirty-four souls braved the predicted snow showers to attend Movie Night in the Great Hall on Friday, November 9, featuring the 2018 Mr. Rogers documentary, Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Tears were shed as the movie explored the ways that Mr. Rogers modeled unconditional love for children (and all his neighbors) during a professional life that seems like an unceasing prayer. The authentic movie-house popcorn was also a hit.

All attendees received a handsome Mr. Rogers card with “ Seven Lessons from Mister Rogers That Can Help Americans Be Neighbors Again ”. The card is based on the article of the same name by Shea Tuttle, which appeared in Greater Good Magazine (July 13, 2018) and is linked here:

CSMSG Grandparents of Parent Link

GRANDPARENTS OF PARENT LINK will meet THIS Sunday, November 18th, from 8:15 - 9:05 am in the Wydown Meeting Room . We will say our prayers, share stories of our grandchildren, follow up Mr. Rogers Movie Night, and anticipate Advent Season. All are welcome, including non-grandparents who serve like grandparents in nurturing the spiritual lives of children. - Volunteers Needed Cooking Breakfast

Volunteers are needed to cook breakfast at Gateway 180 Shelter. It's a great way for the whole family to serve our community! Click HERE Shelter Sign Up Genius to sign up to volunteer on a Sunday morning.

-Hunger Ministry Saturday Sandwich Making - 3rd Saturday of every month; Join volunteers of all ages to make sandwiches to donate to Gateway 180 Homeless Shelter. Contact Allison Wiedle to volunteer, or just show up!
