Jesus said, " I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."  John 8:12

Progress Reporting 3 Ends
The second progress reporting period ended on Friday, February  15. These grades are not recorded on official transcripts, nor do hard-copy grade reports get sent home. Grades will be available to view in Parent and Student Aeries Portals starting, Wednesday, February 20. These grades should be used as a benchmark for focusing on areas of strengths and improvement. UC Freshman Admission FAQ
Will grades below C and/or dropped courses affect my students' chances for admission? It is very important that students inform the UC Application Center immediately if they receive grades below a C in the fall/winter or have changes in their winter/spring class schedule. They can do so by notifying the UC Application Center by email or postal mail. Once a student receives an offer of admission, the student must notify the campus admission office directly of any deficient grades or schedule changes. Although students must notify UC of these changes, we cannot guarantee that a campus will go back to review an application after a communication has been received from the student.
Community College Deadline
Attention Seniors! Please note that the Freshmen Advantage deadline for community colleges is April 12. It is important that you meet this deadline to receive priority registration. Also take advantage of IVC's Fast Friday Program. During the Fast Friday Program you will participate in group advisement, create your first semester academic plan, complete orientation and get a campus tour! Parents are invited to participate in the day's activities and can attend a Parent Orientation. Students who complete the matriculation process by April 12, will receive a Freshman Advantage Early Registration Time and get to enroll in FAll 2019 and Spring 2020 courses ahead of most currently enrolled IVC students and other new students.
Tip of The Week
Everyone is individual and so is the way you learn ! There are three main types of learning styles, which are auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. Knowing what type of learner you are is going to help you be a better student and have better studying habits. When you are able to determine the type of learning style that is best for you, you will find better results when you are studying, and it will result in higher test scores! Take the Learning Style Inventory in Naviance to determine the type of learner you are so that you can personalize your studying.
