Gov. Mike Parson tours bridges
Gov. Mike Parson brought the message of the importance of Missouri's infrastructure to the southwest. As part of the governor’s proposed plan to borrow $350 million to fix 250 of the worst bridges, he’s getting a first-hand look, also touring bridges in the northern and central areas, St. Louis and Kansas City. MoDOT working on potholes as weather permits
Due to an early start of wintry weather and a seemingly relentless assault by ice and snow, this year’s spring pothole season is in early bloom. Motorists should be on the lookout for work crews as weather permits. Motorists can also assist by reporting potholes. Read More.

Project to rebuild, improve 19 bridges on I-44
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission has selected The ESS Team to improve 19 bridges along a 30-mile stretch of I-44 between Sarcoxie and Halltown. The project is in line with Gov. Parson’s commitment to taking care of Missouri’s vital infrastructure. Read More.
Missouri one of 7 states to receive grant
The Federal Highway Administration announced $10.2 million in Surface Transportation System Funding Alternatives grants to seven states, including Missouri, to test new ways to finance highway and bridge projects. Read More.

This day in transportation history
Feb. 14, 1896 - The new grand central station in Portland, Oregon, opened its doors for the first time. This building, known today as Portland Union Station, is a public transit hub for both train and light rail services and located near bus and streetcar lines.
