Best wishes to the 311 individuals who will be representing Saskatchewan at the Canada Winter Games, which begin February 15 in Red Deer.
This year, Team Sask includes athletes, coaches, managers, technical staff and mission staff from 58 communities.

"Parents, coaches, officials and volunteers -- without your commitment and dedication, events and opportunities like the Canada Games wouldn't be possible," said Leslie Blythe, Chair of Sask Sport, at a recent kick-off event for the team.
Special Olympics shine in Regina
Sask Sport was among the organizations on-hand as Regina welcomed the Special Olympics Saskatchewan Winter Games last week.
           
The event drew athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers from across the province. Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed and to everyone who contributed to this successful event!
Parasport Club Development and
Equipment Grants
These grants are designed to assist the purchase of adapted equipment and support new development programs as well as those that are expanding to new sports or groups of participants.

Clubs must submit applications to PSGBs and districts by March 22.

The Saskatchewan Prevention Institute is hosting a webinar on April 4 with Dr. Sarah Reid.
    
Reid is a pediatric emergency medicine specialist who researches pediatric concussion and mental health care. This webinar will help you recognize the signs and symptoms of pediatric concussions and provide tips for protecting children.
Register for RBC Training Ground
The Saskatoon RBC Training Ground qualifier is set for February 23.
   
RBC Training Ground is a national program designed to uncover Canada’s next generation of high-performance athletes and provide them with resources they need to achieve their podium dreams. Athletes between the ages of 14-25 that compete in an Olympic Sport or are interested in competing at the North American Indigenous Games are encouraged to attend this event.
