Caregivers Volunteers of Central New Jersey
Helping Seniors in your Church and your Communities.
There are many seniors in our community and in our neighborhoods who are in need of a little help to continue living independently at home with dignity. Some are lonely and simply need a friendly visit or phone call once a week. Others may need someone to go food shopping or take them to a doctor's appointment. And some may need a break from caring for a loved one with dementia.
If you can open your heart and share a little of your time, you can touch the life of a senior. Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey will be here with us on Sunday, February 17th during coffee hour in Fellowship Hall to share various ways that we can put "Love thy Neighbor" into action.

This Week at Point Beach Prep
On Monday we welcomed art educator Karen Norby to our afternoon class. We explored the element of line. The children moved their bodies to create both curved and straight lines in a game of Simon Says. They used popsicle sticks to create geometric shapes, then used yarn to create shapes in nature. They observed how artist Vincent Van Gogh used lines to show movement in his painting "The Starry Night". Thank you, Mrs. Norby!
On Wednesday the afternoon class had a visit from Dr. Merkler's Pediatric Dental Office. The children learned good oral hygiene and dental habits. They each got to take home new toothbrushes!
We celebrated Valentine's Day with special valentine projects, stories and songs. For our parties, we had special treats and exchanged valentines.
This week we also learned letter Q. We did many Q projects and read lots of Q books. It was quite a fun week!

Images of the Week
Have you seen the new Fellowship Office? In January the Session approved the reconfiguration of the office. Soon after the room was completed. This new meeting space will come in handy for small groups. Thank you to everyone who helped clear and move all the items as well as give the room a good cleaning.
