Dear Parents,
With the onset of this stormy weather I want to assure you that we will do our best to notify you in a timely manner if it becomes necessary to cancel a school day due to flooding or other weather emergency. It is our general policy to remain open as long as the St. Rose campus is safe for students to be present. Furthermore, there would have to be very serious conditions to cause us to close early. Because our families travel to school from a variety of areas around the county it is up to each parent to judge whether or not to travel on roads that are prone to flooding. Parents should feel free to pick up their children early or keep them home anytime they feel safety may be an issue. You can always bring your child to school later once conditions improve.
We use the text message function on MSP to keep you apprised of school closures and other important notices. Early this morning we became aware that Old Redwood Highway just south of our campus was flooded and sent a text message to families at 6:49 AM to advise everyone to access Old Redwood Highway via Mark West Road. If you did not get this text, please contact KC in the school office as it is important that every family receive these important notices.
Our Crab Feed last weekend was a huge success and one more source of pride for a very grateful principal. The sold-out event was such fun and raised a lot of money for our school. I so appreciate Lisa Piehl, our event chairperson, and all of her helpers for their creativity and hard work that resulted in a fantastic evening. I also want to thank all who attended, generously bid on items, and those of you who helped your children sell raffle tickets. Stay tuned for more information from Lisa on prizewinners and the final fundraising tally.

Coming Soon - New Ordering process for School Uniforms
Parents will now place all uniform orders online. Our uniform supplier, Sonoma Design, will be launching an online store just for St. Rose. The next ordering opportunity will begin before the end of the school year, for August delivery.
The school will continue to keep a range of sample sizes for those who need to determine sizing, and we'll keep a small inventory of items to fill emergency orders when the store is closed. (The store ordering 'windows' will occur several times throughout the year. That schedule will be posted once determined.
St. Rose will hold a TRY ON date where parents can bring students to try on samples to determine sizing before placing orders. That date will be sometime in June.
Check back later for all the info!

Parking Lot Safety
Safety First depends on your cooperation!
Please remember, and tell all those in your family who drive onto our campus, to please drive safely!
Some important safety reminders:
- Be patient. Drive slow. Be kind. Do not impede traffic flow or others.
- If your child goes to tutorial, do not get in the pick up line before 3:10 pm. Do not sit in the traffic circle waiting. Circle around back in line to keep traffic flow moving.
- DO NOT leave your car unattended in the traffic circle during drop off or pick up. Stay in your car and move as soon as your child gets in or out. If you have office business, please park in a designated parking spot.
- Morning drop off: everyone is in a hurry it seems to get to where they need to go. Please do not speed through campus. Do not pass unlawfully or unsafely. Be patient. Plan accordingly.
- If a staff member asks you to move your car or to park, they are doing what is in the best interests of everyone and to keep traffic moving. Please be respectful and do what they ask of you.
We thank you for your cooperation and appreciate your partnership in keeping everyone safe out there!
