Hard to Believe.....but Launch is in Two Months
Well, it is if you're keen!  It's already February and we're pleased to let you know that registration for all 2019 LOOR races is open! It is very exciting to see that there are already 21 signed up for the Susan Hood Trophy Race, 15 registered for the 30th Lake Ontario 300 Challenge, and 14 racers enrolled in the LOSHR Series of races.

It was wonderful to see and greet so many offshore racers at the 2019 Toronto International Boat Show in January. Many racers dropped by just to say hello and lots of winners picked up their flags and plaques.

Coming up very quickly on March 6th is our 'Speakers Night' at PCYC. This year our special guest speaker will be Ron Bianchi talking about...... See more details about this event below.

Crew Bank - Need Crew or interested in Crewing?

If you are a sailor and interested in participating in one of the Lake Ontario Offshore Races, or a skipper who needs crew, use the Crew/Boats Boards on the Yacht Scoring Registration and Official Document page. This resource was in high demand during the 2018 season and crew was snapped up very early. There are already a few eager racers listed as available crew for the 2019 season. Check it out and ensure you don't miss the opportunity to participate in a LOOR event this year.

You'll find the link on the Registration page, right side of the page, called 'Crew/Boat Boards', or go to the Crew Bank page on the LOOR site.
US Customs Sticker:

While it currently looks like there may not be a second partial shutdown of the US government we urge you to keep in mind that if a one does occur the process for obtaining the necessary customs sticker required for visiting boats 30' or over will almost certainly be impacted.  If you are planning on racing in the LOSHRS YYC weekend - or otherwise planning to visit the US with your 30' or over boat - we recommend filing for the sticker as soon as possible in order to minimize or avoid any problems obtaining said sticker.
