Private Provider Board Seat - Upcoming Election
Voting for the Private Board Seat opens Monday, February 18th via SurveyMonkey. A link will be emailed on Monday.

The  Private Provider Board Seat candidates (click name for video) are:
To vote, providers will have to enter their Name, Provider Name and Vendor ID
Redetermination Backlog
The 2018 backlog of parent redeterminations has been cleared. Please adhere to all parent eligibility end dates. Please contact ELC if you have any questions.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED...
All SR Providers are required to register for CLASS observations. If you haven't registered, you are  PAST DUE Click here to register.
SR Provider Rate Increase (Pending)
ELC Broward's Board of Directors approved a Provider Rate Increase of $2 per day/per child (for non-school age children).
The increase must be reviewed/approved by OEL before going into effect. 

The Board also decided to review Provider Rates increases annually to keep a balance between budget, rates and number of SR children served.

Children's Week - Hanging of the Hands
Tens of thousands of paper cut outs of children's hands are hung in the Capitol Rotunda during Children's Week. Providers are asked to send in their children's artwork by February 28. Click here for more info.

2/27/19 -Mental Health Red Flags for your staff and students - 6pm at the ELC
Too Tired? Stressed? Over-worked? This training will help you create a healthy and safe work environment for everyone. Early Childhood Education is a field that is often associated with all these negative questions and emotions. It is in your organization's best interest to build a positive and supportive environment. In regards to teacher burn out and turnover, it is crucial to keep staff and families happy. You can make the difference. Join us and learn some ways you can do this for yourself, at home, and/or at school.


2/28/19 -Stop Wasting Time: Make Every Minute Count in the Classroom
With all of the daily managerial tasks, and unexpected interruptions, how can teachers make every minute count? Teachers in productive classrooms efficiently manage routines so that children have as much time as possible to be involved in learning activities. Well thought-out transitions and routines minimize disruptions and keeps the students engaged and focused. In this training, early childhood educators will learn the developmental importance and benefits of routine and transitions, as well as, strategies to incorporate in their classroom.
