GCAA Members,
As we head even deeper into 2020, I want to take a few minutes to talk about the importance of the association and your involvement during COVID-19. I understand these are uncertain and frightening times for many of us. My biggest concerned for our association is the lack of attendance since we have gone virtual on meetings and education. GCAA NEEDS you all to be vigilant and supportive of any events hosted by GCAA. As your director I am and have been truly invested in this association for over 25 years and want nothing but success for our members and growth for our established association. GCAA thrives on live events, networking, dinner meetings and we are truly feeling the difficulties during the pandemic. This year has been challenging for all of us, in our professional and personal lives. There is no doubt in my mind this too shall pass, but our unity together and support for one another, is what will get us back to where we need to be. I ask that if you have a special talent or skill and you would like to help our association to grow, please contact me. I would love to sit down and discuss any suggestions that might help make our association better than yesterday.
With that being said, our first live meeting will be September 22nd. We have made the precautions necessary to help prevent from spreading the COVID-19 virus to include:
-Temperature Checks
-Social Distancing with 4 people seated at each table
-Face mask provided
-Hand-sanitizer stations
With Waivers to be signed as well.
If for any reason, this live meeting is cancelled, it will be presented via Zoom with Mike Williams, Association Attorney who will be speaking on the CARES Act, Evictions and Legal issues currently effecting the multifamily industry.
Again, we need your support and attendance either live or virtually. We understand if you cannot or do not wish to attend live, so please consider the virtual sessions at a discounted rate. Your participation is detrimental to our survival. As always remember we are, Members Supporting Members and I hope to see you all soon, LIVE and in person, but from a distance. Stay safe, stay health and stay kind... always.
