Register For Classes
It's not too late to register for Spring Semester classes at RVCC. Register today for a 10-week session starting February 18. Looking to take summer classes? The College's first Summer Session starts May 20.

Information Sessions, Campus Tours
Learn about all RVCC has to offer by attending an Information Session in February. A special session for those interested in the College's Cosmetology and Esthetics programs also will be offered.

Disability Support Services Session
Prospective students, parents and guardians, and high school educators and administrators are invited to attend "Transition to College," March 7, 9-11 a.m., in RVCC's Conference Center. The event will offer information about disability support services and other assistance available to students as they transition from high school to RVCC.
The program will include a student panel and workshops about RVCC's Disability Services department, wellness and financial aid.

Dance Class & Performance
Local high school dance students are invited to participate in a free Master Dance Class with Rioult Dance NY, March 8, 4-8 p.m., at the Theatre at RVCC. The program also will include a pizza dinner and information about the College's Dance program.
Students who participate in the Master Class will receive two free tickets to Rioult Dance NY's public performance, From Purple to Pärt, March 9, 8 p.m., at the Theatre at RVCC.
Registration for the Master Class and Saturday performance are required and spaces are limited.

The Visual and Performing Arts Department will present the annual Music Faculty Recital, February 24, 3 p.m., in RVCC's Welpe Theatre. The program will include solo, accompanied and ensemble pieces, spanning a variety of musical styles, traditions and repertory. Original compositions and arrangements also will be featured.

Electric Utility Technology Information Session
Learn how to become a line worker or substation electrician in the electric utility industry by attending an Information Session for the Power Systems Institute program offered by Jersey Central Power & Light, a FirstEnergy company, in partnership with RVCC, February 21, 6-8 p.m., in the College's Conference Center.
The two-year Power Systems Institute program features learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Tuition, required books and lab fees will be paid by JCP&L for qualified students.

As part of its ongoing efforts to keep pace with the changing needs of the workforce, RVCC is offering a variety of new programs this winter and spring for students age 16 and older.

Nursing Simulation Lab Funded by Sanofi
Thanks to a generous contribution by Sanofi, RVCC Nursing students are gaining valuable, hands-on medical experience before they step foot in a hospital. The students are being trained on campus in a Nursing Simulation Lab that was completely renovated with a $125,000 donation from Sanofi.

RVCC Giving Day for Scholarships, Educational Programs
Members of the community are invited to participate in the third annual RVCC Giving Day on March 21. The 24-hour online event will raise funds for scholarships, educational programs and more at RVCC. To be counted as a donor, visit www.raritanval.edu/GivingDay on March 21 and make a minimum gift of $10, choosing which area you want to support. Donors also may text RVCC to 71777 to donate from their phone, using any major credit or debit card.

SBDC Counselor Honored
Linda Dousis, longtime counselor for the Small Business Development Center (SBCD) at RVCC, was recently honored at the Economic Vitality Awards Luncheon for her role in guiding small business owners, as well as her leadership in the Somerset County Business Partnership (SCBP) organization.
Dousis, who retired in December, was recognized for providing expertise to area small businesses and was presented with the SCBP 2018 Special Recognition Award. She joined the SBDC@RVCC as a small business counselor in 2006 and guided entrepreneurs and established business owners on starting and managing a business. She also served as an instructor and as a consultant to the state SBDC office.

The February lineup at The Theatre at RVCC includes an eclectic blend of performances featuring dance and spoken word, a mechanical interpretation of a one-ring circus, biographical rap songs, and documentary-style music videos.
