Statewide Organization Supports Recruiting Our Dedicated Volunteers

Our JA team attended Volunteer Florida's Annual
Conference in Orlando.

In 1998, Junior Achievement of South Florida began partnerships with local colleges and universities that give college students real, classroom teaching experience while delivering Junior Achievement programs. During the 2017-18 school year, skills-based volunteers filled 958 openings through Broward College; 130 openings through Florida Atlantic University; 25 openings through Florida International University; and 6 openings through NSU. These volunteers accounted for 8,392 hours of in-kind time towards our mission.

Volunteer Florida is supporting our efforts to recruit skills-based volunteers, who are college students completing their education towards becoming a teacher, to provide a win-win situation! The volunteers gain experience working with children, as well as school credits, and our organization provides top-level volunteers to work with the children during the JA World simulations. Thank you, Volunteer Florida!
