Thanks, AmeriCorps!
“I Have A Dream” is fortunate to work with 38 AmeriCorps members each year and, when their service term ends, we celebrate them at a special ceremony and party!
"I Have A Dream" partners with Notre Dame Mission Volunteers AmeriCorps, placing nearly 40 AmeriCorps volunteers each year in our classrooms and administrative offices. AmeriCorps commit to serve an American community for at least one year as a full time volunteer -- like the Peace Corps here at home.

“I Have A Dream’s” program sites and central office benefit from these dedicated and hard working AmeriCorps #gettingthingsdone with our students, our volunteers, and our operations.

AmeriThanks, AmeriCorps members!
We couldn’t do it without you!
Junior and Senior Scholars Learn the Ropes at CU Boulder
Forty “I Have A Dream” high school juniors and seniors joined their peers from Adelante !, AVID (Boulder Valley School District’s Advancement Via Determination program), and Boulder Housing Partners for a two-week residential experience on CU Boulder campus.

While students attended classes, lived in the dorms, and had the college experience, their parents attended orientation--for first generation college students, their family’s unfamiliarity with college is a barrier to access and advancement.
Preparing for success in post-secondary ed and beyond is a key part of “I Have A Dream’s” mission, and your support helps these kids know that college *is* for them!
Crayons to Calculators Sends Kids to School Prepared
Boulder Valley School District and St. Vrain Valley School Districts’ annual school supply drive, Crayons to Calculators , is underway!

We’re so grateful to work with partners, the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley, Sister Carmen Community Center, and Impact on Education to make sure every kid in BVSD and SVVSD gets to school on the first day with everything they need to learn.

Special thanks to presenting sponsor Western Disposal and all the supporting sponsors for supplying every kid for success.
21st Annual Dream-Maker Luncheon Will Fund Dreamer Scholars
The 2018 Dream-Maker Luncheon will be here before you know it!

Mark your calendar for Thursday October 4th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Ascent Church in Louisville.

Boulder County’s largest benefit is also the most fun. You won’t want to miss it!
Rising 4th Grade Dreamer Scholars Cuddle Owls, Help Scientists
You never know what our Dreamer Scholars might be doing with their summer enrichment activities. Rising 4th graders from our Carbon Valley class in Frederick took a trip to Manitou Experimental Forest to help scientists with their research on Flammulated Owls .

The kids looked for nests with scientists, extracted the owlets to tag and weigh, measured the nests, and collected owlet poop to analyze.
Congrats Tournament Winners!
Foursomes took to the links on Monday, July 23rd for a day of fun and fundraising, golfing for good with “I Have A Dream.”

Congratulations to our winning foursomes!
But the real winners at “I Have A Dream’s” 2018 golf tournament are our Dreamer Scholars , of course--the annual event helps fund our comprehensive services for low-income students, helping them get to and through college and a career.
Thanks to title underwriter, Leffingwell, LLC and all our many other generous underwriters for making the event possible, to our volunteers for making it happen at Omni Interlocken Golf Club, and to our golfers for sharing their day with us.
We Can't Wait to Show You How We Make It All Happen!
