Christ Church's 7th annual winter women's retreat will be Saturday February 23. Women of all ages and life stages, members of any church or none, are warmly welcome. Renowned author The Rev. Heidi Haverkamp will be our guest presenter, with our own Nadia Stefko facilitating parts of the day. (Learn more about Heidi

Heidi's book, Holy Solitude, is not required for the retreat.
We'll gather at Church House from 8:00AM to 3:30PM for fellowship, reflection, stillness, and worship.

Christ Church Creative Dance
President's Day Dance Special!
Christ Church Creative Dance is offering a special "deal" for Monday, Feb. 18! Since the schools are closed, come dance with us and bring your child(ren) age 5 and up, they can dance for free! Children younger than 5 can play in our Nursery which will be open and professionally staffed.
Christ Church Creative Dance is on Mondays, 4:45-5:45 in the Guild Room at 470 Maple Street.
We are learning folk dances from around the world, it's easy and fun. Our professional instructor is parishioner Amanda MacDonald who brings us her wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for all forms of dance. Join Our Hospitality Team
The Hospitality Committee organizes social events such as receptions, brunches, suppers, dinners and parties. Working in teams of 2 to 4 people we arrange the set up, shopping, cooking or purchasing food, serving and clean up. New members are paired with experienced workers. Meet new people and enjoy the company of those you know in a fulfilling and fun manner. We are seeking new members so be a part of the social scene at Christ Church and please, join us. from Family Promise March 10-17
This has become one of our most important parish outreach ministries. It's a special
opportunity for everyone in our parish to work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of transitionally homeless families in crisis.
While they are with us, we provide these families safe shelter, healthy meals, hospitality and fellowship. And we will need lots of help!
Families, individuals and youth of all ages can sign up individually or in teams to help with:
- Setup and Cleanup
- Evening Meals
- Evening Activities
- Overnight Hosting
- Fellowship and Hospitality

Confirmation Bowling Night - Saturday, February 23, 7:00-8:30PM
All 7th and 8th graders and their families are invited to an evening of fun at Wilmette
Bowl! This is an opportunity for the Confirmation youth and their families to get to know each other. We will bowl, eat pizza, see friends, and make new friends. Please RSVP to [email protected]. All youth and friends are welcome!

Youth Art Workshop Series: Feb. 24 PUPPET-MAKING!
On February 24, we will use a variety of materials to create PUPPETS, inspired by PATIENCE. Our puppet-making workshop is part of a series in which we are exploring a variety of materials to make art inspired by Galatians 5:22-23. The workshop will culminate in an art gallery display on Sunday, May 12. Please let

know if you or your child would like to participate and/or be a curator.
All middle and high school youth are invited to participate. Friends and parents are always welcome! We meet the following Sunday mornings from 10:45-11:30AM in the Youth Room:
- February 24: Puppet-making inspired by Patience
- March 3 & 10: Construction, Paper Mache, and Painting our Sculptures; inspired by Kindness, Generosity, and Faithfulness
- April 28: Painting & Peace
- May 5: Print-making, inspired by Gentleness & Self-Control
There are a few household items we could use YOUR help collecting! Please bring the following to the Youth Room (empty) by March 3:
- SMALL- and medium-sized cardboard BOXES (i.e., from toothpaste, make-up, cereal - and especially, SHOE boxes)
- Paper towel and toilet paper rolls
- Newspapers

Pancake Supper: Sign-up to Help Host
This year on
Tuesday, March 5
the youth will help host the Pancake Supper. If you are willing to flip a pancake, serve dinner, lead a game, or speak about the significance of Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday, and Lent; please sign-up for a time slot! Two shifts are available: 4:30-6PM and 6-7:30PM. Use the

Youth at Family Promise: Join us for Dinner & Lead an Activity
Each night of Family Promise, two to four youth will have dinner with our guests and
lead the evening activity. We need middle and high school youth for the following six days from 6-8PM:
Monday, March 11; Tuesday, March 12; Wednesday, March 13; Thursday, March 14; Friday, March 15; and Saturday, March 16.
