This all-day workshop will focus on radical, progressive, compassionate and achievable solutions and alternatives to our existing economic, financial and political institutions.
Panelists will include local community and political leaders in the areas of housing, prisons, public education, worker-owned co-ops, universal healthcare, public banking, eco-transportation and corporate-free politics.
Lunch and entertainment are included in the $10 cost which will be collected at the door.

The Immigrant Justice Fellowship (IJF) is a project of the Dream Resource Center (DRC). It is a statewide rapid response fellowship that serves as a platform for immigrant youth to protect and empower immigrant communities.
|
|
IJF is an eight-month, part-time fellowship across six regions in California: Orange County, Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Central Valley, Silicon Valley, and Sacramento.
The fellowship begins in February 2019 and concludes in September 2019. Each fellow receives monthly leadership award of $2,000.

This Program is Nationally recognized public policy fellowships offering unique experiences in policy-making and development in each branch of California state government. Fellows work for 10-11 months as full-time, paid staff members in the State Assembly, State Senate, Executive Branch or the Judiciary.
The fellowships are administered by the Center for California Studies at California State University, Sacramento, and are an outstanding opportunity for college graduates to engage in public service and prepare for future careers.

Latinos in Technology Scholarship
|
In order to be eligible to apply for the scholarship you must be a current college student entering their junior or senior year in the 2019 academic school year and planning to enroll on a full-time or part-time basis. Preference will be given to full-time and rising junior students. You may be a United States legal residents and a student who has obtained Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Note: A.B. 540 students who are also DACA recipients are eligible to apply
Up to $30,000 (paid over three years, provided renewal eligibility requirements are met)
Applicants must be in a Science, technology, engineering, math (STEM)-related field.

Pre-Doctoral Fellowship
|
The Ford Foundation is committed to increasing the diversity of the country’s college and university faculties by increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, to maximize the educational benefits of diversity, and to increase the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of all students. Their Pre-Doctoral fellowship opportunity offers an annual stipend of $24,000, expenses paid to attend at least one Conference of Ford Fellows, as well as access to Ford Fellow Regional Liaisons, a network of former Ford Fellows who have volunteered to provide mentoring and support to current fellows.
