Mindful Zoo Mindful You: Fostering Leadership Presence - Naturally

Does time away from workplace responsibilities, with opportunities to  develop new leadership perspectives, appeal to you? If so, enjoy a day discovering first-hand how animals and nature can teach us as leaders to be more aware, intentional, and present in both our personal and professional lives.

Mindful Zoo Mindful You is a joint (Ad)venture between the Akron Zoo and Heart to Heart Communications that integrates leadership, mindfulness, and all the zoo has to offer into a unique one-day learning experience. This highly interactive program will help leaders:

  • Develop a mindful presence to more fully engage employees, create better relational connections, and improve performance.
  • Gain skills to more effectively regulate mental and emotional states to become more self-aware, focused, and compassionate in and out of the workplace.
  • Identify simple techniques to foster leadership presence that can readily be incorporated into your daily life.

Mindful Leaders exhibit high levels of self awareness and intentionality in their actions. Research indicates that a more mindful presence (also called centeredness) is the optimal strategy to engage employees, create better connections, and improve relationships. Research also suggest that there’s a direct correlation between leaders’ presence and the well-being and performance of their people.
