February Giving Items
Donations for the month of February are canned soup with meat for the J Street Apartment Pantry. Your donations may
be left at the back entrance near the
Welcome Center. Thank you for your
generosity.
What Amazing Kids We Have!
We had 31 kiddos from AGC and 380 Kids welcome us into service with their voices February 10th and more than 31 in Sunday School. What a tremendous
outpouring of love for God! Thanks to all the families who participated.
Boy Scout Sunday
We are thankful for Scouting ministries that meet in our church almost every week. They bring added energy and joy into our building. They grow skills and confidence in young people, and we are more than happy to accommodate them and their mission. We hope to grow our connection with the scouting programs in the months and years ahead. May the Lord bless the scouting ministries in our community and beyond; that they may form strong and faithful young people!

  • March 3rd, 2019
  • 8:00 until sold out

Support the Exit X Summer 2019 Youth Mission Trip to Long Island, New York.

Free will donations accepted.

***Important Notice***

To pre-order rolls, email Brenda Swanson no later than February 25th. Half dozens or dozen orders available. Secures your order and no waiting in line.

Exit X Families

Please email Brenda Swanson to volunteer for dough making and signing up to be at the church the morning of Sunday, March 3rd to bake, ice and prepare the rolls for selling. We would appreciate as many adult helpers as possible as this will be a lot of work. Thank you in advance.

As always, support from our SUMC congregation is extremely appreciated.

From The Trustees
There is an unexpected expense that the trustees need some help to cover. The most recent radon test in the church basement slightly exceeded the maximum allowed level. There is no explanation why the level increased after years of being below the maximum allowed. The cost to mitigate this to a normal level is $2,400. We are planning to proceed with making this necessary facility repair. Donations of any amount to help cover this are greatly appreciated. Please mark "radon" in the memo of your check.

Thank you,
Rick Less
Save the Date:
Lord's Acre Sale, August 24, 2019

"A New Take On An Old Tradition"

We are experimenting with the date for the Lord's Acre Sale by moving it to the end of August. We will not be competing with college football or other fall festivals. There will be more emphasis on outdoor activities, but we will offer many of the same indoor activities, including a Country Store, live and silent auctions and delicious food for sale. There will be organizational and informational meetings in the near future. Stay tuned!

Coordinating Our Building Use
Are you needing a place at the church for a committee meeting or event? Please note that ALL scheduling of the building's use must be cleared and scheduled through Julie in the church office. This is not a "permission" issue, but we do need this central location for keeping track of the building's activities (we are thankful to be able to host a growing number of Boy and Girl Scouts this year!). Just drop an email or phone the office (848-7213), so there are no surprises. Thank you!
