SERVICE OPPORTUNITY
Student Government is hosting another Peanut Butter & Jelly Service Project on Monday, January 28th after school, and will be donating all sandwiches to Cathedral Kitchen in Camden.  Students will receive 2 hours of service for participating.  Please have your child sign up in 114, 109, or 127.  We are also in need of donations of Peanut Butter and Jelly.  Donations can be dropped off in the dining hall during exam week. Christian Service Progam
Verification of Christian service hours for the first semester were due December 10, 2018.
As a reminder  Christian service is an annual school requirement and students will not be eligible to participate fully in other extracurricular activities and events if they have not fulfilled their service obligations.

Parents and students who have not completed their first semester requirement are ineligible to participate in any extracurricular activity, including but not limited to practices, dances, club meetings, etc. Eligibility will only be updated on Fridays so if a student turns in hours on Monday they will remain ineligible until the coming Friday.
Service Hours are posted on Renweb under the Family menu option on the left hand side and then selecting Service hours at the top of the page.

VOLUNTEER FAIR: Sat, Feb 23, 10:30AM-2PM, Pennsauken Free Public Library
Looking for a new way to serve the community? Consider going to the Pennsauken Free Public Library Volunteer Fair on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 10:30am to 2:00pm. This event seeks to match potential volunteers with organizations in need of helpers. Contact the library at 856-665-5959 with questions.

Christ the King Religious Education in Haddonfield  is looking for student volunteers to help us out during classes on Mondays. See flyer on bulletin board outside of the Dining Hall for more details or stop by Rm 114 and see Ms. Clinton.


KAIROS VI Retreat
Our Spring KAIROS VI retreat will be held March 28-31st at the Diocese of Camden Kairos retreat house on the property of Holy Spirit High School in Absecon NJ. This retreat is open to juniors and seniors and the cost is $195.00 for the four day, three night retreat. KAIROS means "right time" meaning God's time and is a powerful retreat experience for young people to step away from every day demands and reflect on their relationship with Christ and others. We will start sign ups at the end of the week.

Senior Parent Meeting
Senior Parents please mark your calendars with the a mandatory meeting on February 28th at 7pm at CCHS. This meeting will cover information on graduation including requirements, activities and tickets. It will be followed by the Senior Trip meeting for parents of students attending.

Beginning on Monday, January 28 Camden Catholic High School will celebrate Catholic Schools Week 2019 (#CSW19) with a week-long series of events which showcase this year's theme "Learn.  Serve. Lead. Succeed."  Catholic Schools Week is a national annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States.
"Our administration, faculty and students have collaborated to plan a faith-filled Catholic Schools Week at Camden Catholic which will also share our contagious school pride for which we are so well known," said Fr. Joseph Capella, Rector. "Our community is emblematic of this year's theme, and we are eagerly anticipating the planned events to show how our students, faculty, staff and alumni learn, serve, lead and succeed."
