The Alberta Board Member Essentials Program (ABME) was built by Albertans for Albertans and is designed to support the growth of new and developing board members. 

ABME is a multi-part training program that combines online learning with in-person workshops to give new and developing board members the tools to successfully serve on a non-profit board. The program consists of three online courses and two half-day in-person sessions. Online sessions take approximately 3 hours each to be completed on the student's own time.
