Racers Celebrate at the Susan Hood and LO300/600 Awards Ceremony
Skippers, crew, family and friends came together at Port Credit Yacht Club on Saturday, November 10th to celebrate the 2018 offshore racing season on Lake Ontario. Over 100 attended the event where toasts were made, dinner was enjoyed, and trophies were awarded.
On behalf of the Lake Ontario Offshore Racing Committee, I congratulate not only all the winners but all the skippers and crew of every boat who competed in the Susan Hood Trophy Race and the LO300/600 Challenges this season. As most of us know, just getting to the start line is a major accomplishment and we are very proud of everyone who participated in 2018.
During the awards ceremony it was announced that Humberview Chevrolet Buick GMC & Motorsports Brands and Humberview Volkswagen on behalf of DriveHG.ca, have extended their commitment through 2020 as the Title Sponsor for LOOR. The focus of this partnership will continue to be on the Susan Hood Trophy Race and the Lake Ontario 300/600 Challenges and we are very proud and excited about the extension of our relationship with the Humberview Group.
Thanks to everyone for supporting Lake Ontario Offshore Racing. Now, let's get ready for 2019 - the 30th Lake Ontario 300 Challenge!

2019 Offshore Racing Guide
Our annual Racing Guide continues to be met with tremendous excitement and enthusiasm and remains an important keep-sakes for many boaters. The 2019 Racing Guide is now in development and will once again provide sailors - both racers and cruises - with a variety of articles and resources on numerous nautical topics. The Guide is also an excellent advertising vehicle for retailers and service providers in the industry.
Available in March 2019, this boater's resource will be distributed through major Canadian and U.S. yacht clubs, marinas, chandleries and regattas.
