How was the transition?
Still ongoing, smooth in certain ways and stressful in others.

What do you like most about your job?
It is never boring, there is always something new to learn, do or teach.

Where did you come from? How is it different?
I came from a larger department with a heavier clinical workload. I worked in the same location, used the same computer system, same medical record system and worked with the same support staff. It does not seem to be the case here with multiple facilities under the umbrella of U of L.

What are your biggest challenges now?
My list of what I consider challenges is still evolving as I am understanding my new responsibilities, available resources and as I know the people I will be working with and their roles at work.

What are you most excited about?
I feel I am learning something new every day, which is very satisfying. I am meeting new people every day at work and I feel many will be long term friends and not just good coworkers.

What are your interests (outside of the office)?
Travel, cooking and Yoga.

What's your favorite movie?
Too many to count, but if I have to mention a couple on top of my mind they will be Braveheart and Fiddler on the Roof.

Is there anything on your bucket list?
Mostly related to travel. A few places I would like to visit and I have not yet: India, China and Egypt.

What annoys you the most?
About me: if I am late for a meeting/event (most of the time out of my control). About others: Slacking, laziness, disrespecting or being rude to anyone (just to name a few). In general: Smoking irritates me regardless of who, where or what. I do have a longer list if anyone is interested.

What was your college major?
I did not have one. I am a foreign medical graduate, the education system was/is different from the one in the US.

What is your ideal weekend?
Anytime I spend with my husband and children is ideal.

Who do you admire most in the world?
Many, but my hero of all times (dead or alive) will always be Nelson Mandela.

Anything else you want to say?
I am looking forward to working with everyone here and am very appreciative for all the help extended to me from everyone I met so far.
