Action Manufacturing 10th Anniversary
|
Tim and Donna Swenson and the 10th Anniversary Action Trackchair.
This new model features suspension to provide additional user comfort.
10th Anniversary of Action Trackchair
The familiar adage "Time flies when you're having fun" is certainly true for Tim and Donna Swenson of Marshall who are celebrating 10 years of building and improving the Action Trackchair, an all-terrain wheelchair with tracks. The Swenson's son, Jeff, was paralyzed in an automobile accident in 1998. Tim began thinking about designing an outdoor wheelchair for Jeff soon after his accident. It wasn't until 2009 when Tim and Donna sold Action Sports, a motorsports and marine dealership, to their son, Jim and his wife, Teah, that he began to build the first prototype in his hobby shop. Action Manufacturing Inc. was established in 2009 and his hobby shop was transformed into a manufacturing shop. By 2014, 1900 trackchairs had been built. In 2015, Tim and his employees designed an efficient, modern factory in Marshall. Today, the Action Trackchair is distributed throughout the USA and has distribution in many other countries as well. What began as a desire to help their son has grown into a global endeavor helping thousands of people with mobility related disabilities. With the Action Trackchair, people enjoy the great outdoors navigating through all types of terrain doing activities they once did or have never been able to do before. www.actiontrackchair.com
In 2015, Action Mobility Foundation, a 501(c)3 public charity was formed by Donna along with other area Board members. AMF's purpose is to help people with spinal cord injuries and financial need to purchase their own life-changing trackchair. www.actionmobilityfoundation.org

other business and community members. It is an informational newsletter and helps to promote
our member businesses and their events.
Each Friday, our newsletter is sent to over 1,500 individuals. Our separate emails are sent to
the same list, but are held especially for our Chamber events and Business After Hours.

and you have the option of adding one additional week for $10.
-
Submissions must be sent the Wednesday prior to that Friday's E-Connection to be included to chamber@marshallmn.org
