Next week is Catholic Schools Week!  This year's theme is Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.

The benefits of a Catholic education are abundant. Our Catholic high school seniors graduate at a rate of more than 98 percent. Ninety-five percent of our Catholic high school graduates go on to college, earning hundreds of millions of dollars in college scholarships each year. Our students are committed to helping others through community service, a commitment that continues through adulthood. Catholic school graduates are civically engaged and can be found in leadership positions in business, government and non-profit organizations

We will be kicking off our Catholic Schools Week celebrations  THIS SUNDAY with an OPEN HOUSE from
9-11:30am.

I encourage all of our parishioners and guests to take this opportunity to tour our school, meet our dedicated faculty and staff and see some projects our students have been working on in their classrooms.  Please also extend this invitation to any families you know who may still be looking for a school to enroll their children into for next year.

I hope you all know how proud I am to be a Pastor of a Catholic School.  I believe passing on our Christian faith to our children is one of the greatest responsibilities we have as disciples.  Mrs. Mullens and I, along with the entire faculty and staff, are deeply honored and humbled that you have entrusted your children to our care.  It is a privilege to assist you in forming your children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews in the Catholic faith and in their overall educational formation and development.

I you would like to know more about St. Josaphat School,

God Bless,
Fr. Francis

Taizé Prayer TONIGHT!
Thursday, January 24th
7:00-7:45pm

This month we will have an opportunity to experience a popular form of meditative prayer known as Taizé. Join us for St. Josaphat's first Taizé Prayer Service in over 10 years. The service consists of reflective music and chants, readings, and time for silence and quiet prayer. The most important aspect is the silence. To just sit and be with God as we open our hearts to Him in prayer.

January Theme: Meditation
Prayer of the Week
Prayer after Communion

Grant, we pray, almighty God, that, receiving the grace by which you bring us to new life, we may always glory in your gift. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Idea: Say this prayer during your Communion Meditation today.
