Arizona Innovation and Technology Corridor (AITC)
The Pinal County Board of Supervisors recently approved an Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) with the University of Arizona to assist the County with the developing and implementing a multi-year plan to develop the I-10 and I-8 Corridors, from Maricopa County to the University of Arizona Science and Technology Park in SE Tucson as a high tech corridor.
The Arizona Innovation and Technology Corridor(AITC), as this massive stretch of both interstates is now called, could take as many as 25-30 years to develop and bring billions of dollars in new high tech companies along with their support industries and bring untold thousands of high-tech, high wage jobs to Pinal County. New high tech companies already locating in the Corridor are: Lucid Motors, Vector Launch, Nikola Motors, NACERO, Attesa, Case New Holland R&D, Florence Copper, Green Gas Partners and several other high tech companies that will be announced in the next few months. This is in addition to many high tech companies that have already existed in Pinal County, some for decades: Hexcel, Abbot Nutrition, Frito Lay, Cargill, Bayer, Nissan and Volkswagen Test Tracks and Resolution Copper.
Arizona State University, in a separate IGA also approved by the BOS at the same time, will conduct a rail study to determine the maximum industrial/commercial value we can obtain from our current robust rail system throughout the County. Many of the high tech companies being recruited all have need for rail and as such the County will explore all opportunities that our rail system represents.

Introducing Lucid DreamDrive
The Advanced Driver-Assistance System Will Debut in the Lucid Air
"We designed the Lucid Air to set a new benchmark for luxury cars with standard-setting technology like Lucid DreamDrive — its advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). When we start customer deliveries for initial versions of the Lucid Air early in 2021, DreamDrive will offer the most comprehensive sensor suite on the market. And it’s expected to be the first combining LIDAR with an innovative driver monitoring system as standard equipment.
DreamDrive’s array of 32 multimodal sensors includes the latest camera, radar, and ultrasonic sensors — as well as a long-distance, high-resolution LIDAR that uses laser beams to measure distance from every object in the car’s path. This sophisticated combination of sensors gives DreamDrive the ability to function in any weather condition. And its driver monitoring system helps keep a Lucid Air’s driver informed and alert — with full attention on the road ahead."- Lucid Motors, Read more...
