Frs. Joe Matteucig SX and Alex Rodriguez SX met with the Director of the Mission Office of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to work on a program of events connected with the Extraordinary Mission Month.

They posted: "Our intention is to make this extraordinary month not an end in itself but a sort of revival, the beginning of a more intentional missionary spirit in the people of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee."  The Xaverian Missionaries of Franklin WI plan to hold a series of monthly mission evenings beginning in Lent 2019.

We uphold the principles of social justice when we promote gender equality or the rights of indigenous peoples and migrants. Young people all across Central America are being introduced to Catholic social teaching thanks to an initiative, the largest of its kind.  Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need and the YOUCAT Foundation are supplying one million Catholic social teaching DOCAT digital books - and 25,000 hard copies - intended for the faithful throughout Central America. Scottish charity wins battle to bring Gambian boy to the UK for treatment

An African boy living with a treatable form of deafness has had his UK medical visa approved thanks to the efforts of a charity in Motherwell Diocese.
Project Gambia has fought for 13-year-old Mohammed Cham since he was refused a medical visa back in June, and after a long process they have succeeded in their efforts to gain permission to bring the boy to Scotland to be treated by experts. Find out more.

St Francis Xavier Seminary - Philosophy community of the Xaverian Missionaries in the Philippines. This is a formation house for Filipino college students who would like to embrace the Xaverian charism to proclaim the Good News.

The Community is a place to form young people and start to grasp and embrace the elements that constitute the Xaverian Character, namely: Christ-centered Spirituality, Missionary purpose, family spirit, and the human dimension and religious consecration.  Visit their  website.

Pope Francis on Human Fraternity
During the flight back from the United Arab Emirates, Pope Francis said that the historic Document on Human Fraternity is a step forward - a step that, for Catholics, was "made in the spirit of Vatican II."  The document, signed by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb, was prepared "with much reflection and prayer," the Pope said.
