Handy Roster of Wisconsin Candidates for Office

Dear WH&LA Lodging and CVB/Chamber Members:
 
The WH&LA has created a handy Roster of Candidates for your reference in the upcoming Primaries that will be held on Tuesday, August 14 around the state. As a refresher, primaries are held to condense the number of candidates from each party running for an office from multiple to only one per party in preparation for the final Ballot for the November 6 Elections.
 
In the cases where there is already only one candidate per party for an office, this will not be included on the primary ballot.
 
As you will see in the Roster, there are a number of races with multiple candidates from the same party that will provide competitive races in just a few weeks, including the Governor's race, and a number of federal congressional races as well as many in the state legislature. We strongly suggest that you look into the candidates for positions that will represent you at each level and get to know what they stand for so that you will be able to make the most of your opportunity to vote.
 
If you are unsure which districts your legislators are in, simply go to http://legis.wisconsin.gov/ and type in your home address.  As an additional resource, WisconsinEye has posted a number of candidate interviews that you may find of interest at  http://www.wiseye.org/Campaign-2018 .
