Nazarene Youth Conference 2019

JULY 8-14, 2019

"Nazarene Youth Conference (NYC) is a vibrant, life-changing youth event held every four years in different locations across the United States and Canada. High School students from all around North America belonging to the Church of the Nazarene gather together in a time of worship, teaching, and community outreach, united by a common belief in Jesus Christ."

"Love God. Love Others. Simple, but challenging. Sometimes described as two pillars of following Jesus, we will explore the connective nature of our relationship with God and others while learning what it means to live out His love in our world."

Below is the NYC 2019 Google Folder. Please click for all details.

For questions, please contact Sherry Sherwood, NWIL-NYC Coordinator

Sunday School Discipleship International

"Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."   Matthew 28:19-20

As you are going,
THINK BIG: Every relationship, every interaction, all inclusive.

And make disciples,
START SMALL: You. Be one. Be a Christ-like disciple. Re-present Jesus.

Baptizing them, immersing them in Jesus,
GO DEEP: Pray. Empty yourself. Sacrifice.

Funding the Mission
For generations, Nazarenes have supported the World Evangelism Fund. Working together, we accomplish so much as the Body of Christ. Become a part of missions work and partner with the Church of the Nazarene to make Christlike disciples in the nations. In the Funding the Mission plan, the World Evangelism Fund is the vehicle through which we deliver the message of hope - and your church drives that mission. OCTOBER 2018 REPORT

Revival at Marseilles
Havana
Encounter 2018 is in the books for Havana Church of the Nazarene and it was a good one.  The following came as participants: Bill & Linda Fairburn, Dean Hall, Frank Wiggins, Eddie Wise, Joanne Piluski, Lisa Duckwiler and Gary and Jennifer Brown.  The following served as helpers for Encounter:  Bob & Carolyn Whetsell, Anna Pierson, Sue Roat-Hall, Jerry Burgard, Melissa Roat, Lori Munson, Eleanor Roat (off site Prayer coordinator), and Pastor Jim and Arla Jeanne Buchanan.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and thanks to all who have taken up the Bible reading challenge.  New discipleship groups have been formed and I have already heard and seen improved Bible reading habits from some.  This is so vitally important to spiritual growth and development.

The Havana City Center facility that was provided for us to use free of charge was a very good facility.  It served us well.  Thanks to Mayor Brenda Stadsholt and the City of Havana for helping us with this.  Lewistown Nazarene once again loaned us their Encounter props and we say thanks to them too.  To God be the glory for all that He has done. -
Pastor Jim Buchanan

Crossbridge Community
Feed His Children is a ministry of Crossbridge Community Church. We have partnered with several area schools to provide supplemental groceries to families who may be struggling.

Crossbridge Community Church delivers the food to the schools twice a month and the food is distributed by the schools. The school determines who receives the food, not Crossbridge Community. We are also in 5 high school pantries and manage several micropantries.

NWIL District Prayer Force
Every Person Prayed for and Discipled!

Wouldn't it be awesome if every person living in Northwestern Illinois was being prayed for by name? We have a strategy to do just that! We envision that every man, woman, teen, and child in every one of the 30 counties across the District are being continually prayed for by name specifically for their eternal salvation and faithful discipleship.

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." Therefore, every person deserves
to be prayed for by name.
