                          ART WALK ON THE BOARDWALK
                              Saturday, May 4th 10:00-5:00

Dear Artist,
Please join us in this first, hopefully annual, event. We are looking for 30-50 artists to come to the park the weekend before Mother's Day, and sell your artwork on the Boardwalk!
The Boardwalk will be marked with tape on the areas available to set up.  You may wish to come a little early to find your preferred spot, and some areas will be larger than others.  You may not block the boardwalk.  You must have all of your easels, tables and chairs off in the sand.  Only marked areas are available due to the sensitive nature of the dune plants and restoration.  The ice plants are OK to be on - that plant is being eradicated.
Spots along the sidewalk directly on the beach side of the Day Use parking area will also be available, and may be easier to set up for larger paintings, tables, etc. Or for people who do not want to cart a lot of items up the boardwalk.
I am hoping for a variety of media - painting, photography, jewelry, ceramics, notecards, fiber arts - will be represented.  Artist needs to be present.  Feel free to bring your media to work on while you are at the beach!
The application fee is $20 and this will buy advertising in the Coastal View News and Independent.  Any monies not spent on advertising will be split between the Art Center and the State Parks Jr. Ranger program.
You will be responsible for all of your own set-up, break down, collection of money, clean-up of your area, although some staff will be available.
Feel free to email  [email protected]  or call me with your questions.
