The women of my life
by Cyneatha Millsaps

Creator God
today I thank you for the many powerful women you have placed before me.

Women in scripture like Deborah and Jochebed.
Women in history like Maya Angelou and Mother Theresa.
Women in my community like Martha and Bonnie.
Women in my family, like Momma Mert and Granny.

I know these women and the lives they lead and have led,
help me to be the woman you have created me to be.
As I am made in your image, I am also made in theirs.

Thank you for providing me with an array of powerful, gifted and loving women. Amen.

Cyneatha Millsaps is the new Executive Director of Mennonite Women USA (MW USA). Cyneatha pastored Community Mennonite Church in Markham, Il for 11 years prior to coming to MW USA. Sister Care Enrichment

As women we rarely have the opportunity to reflect on our own life journey. Come join others as we go deeper with Sister Care core teachings. Carolyn Heggen and Rhoda Keener lead these Level 2 retreats for past Sister Care attendees. (Prerequisite for women who have not attended a prior seminar is to read the Sister Care manual and view the DVD available from the MW USA office.) Sister Care Enrichment includes time for personal reflection, small group discussion, and a variety of learning and worship activities.

Join us for a Sister Care Enrichment Seminar:
  • Drift Creek Camp in Lincoln City, Oregon September 28-30, 2018.
  • Camp Menno Haven in Tiskelwa, Illinois on April 5-7, 2019.

Using the elements of a worship service, author Carol Penner guides women invites women to dive deep into Scripture and faith through worship experiences.

Excellent for personal study, women's groups, retreat settings, and individual study and inspiration, this Bible study encourages women to worship every day.
