Another Hole in the Wall Does your studio wall have too many holes from hanging your work? Does your wall have more holes than Swiss Cheese? When you temporarily hang your canvas work on the wall to "look at it," are you adding new nails or more screws as hangers? My solution is to permanently create an easy hanging system by screwing wood strips of soft pine right onto my studio wall. The strips are about 1-1/2 inches x 3/4 inch. It's a common strip of wood in the moulding section at the lumber yard. I have 4 strips mounted about a foot apart. Instead of nailing into my wall, I nail, pin or screw directly into the wood so I can temporarily hang and study my work. No more random holes! Don't forget to watch the video!
