Stairs between Lookout Circle and Delta Ave to be Repaired
Project Begins Soon
The MLCC has worked with the City Dept. of Traffic and Engineering to identify needed repair projects in our community. The City recently earmarked funding to repair the stairs formerly known as Lookout Lane which run from Lookout Circle to Delta Avenue.
Work is tentatively scheduled to begin this week.
Ford Development Corp., a contractor for the City of Cincinnati, plans to begin demolition and reconstruction of the deteriorated concrete stairway between Mount Lookout Square and Lookout Lane in January. The project will take an estimated four months to complete
Ford is working with the City to determine the safest and most efficient way for its crews to access the site. Crews will be removing demolition debris and pouring concrete for the new stairway, as well as replacing the associated drainage system.
Through access for motorists and pedestrians will be allowed at all times on Delta Avenue and Lookout Circle, though periodic lane and sidewalk closures may be needed. During construction the stairs may not be usable.
If you have questions or concerns regarding the project, the contact information for the City's Project and Construction Managers on the project are listed below.
