MTF Teens 2018 Coat Drive
Over 350 youths and their families received coats as well as cold weather outerwear at the MTF Teens Coat Drive held at Foss Park. The MTF Teens are a dedicated group of students at Lake Forest High School who work throughout the year to collect coats, hats, gloves & boots to provide those in need with the warm outerwear needed for the winter months.
A special thank you to the teens, Alyson Dueringer, The Silo Restaurant, Packaging Corp. of America, Salon Bliss, Hat Box Foundation and Carrie and John Travers for their generous contributions.
Someone You Should Know.. .
Estelle Wendorf is an explosion of energy! A trait she likely gets from her grandmother, Julie, who has been a dedicated volunteer and board member for MTF. What began as a project for Estelle's Confirmation class turned into an entire school's Red Ribbon Week Campaign. Estelle and her school collected coats, scarves, gloves, hats and a warm comforter. With lightning speed, Estelle sorted and delivered all the donations to Mothers Trust in time for the coat drive. Thank you Estelle, TJ and Kathy Wendorf, Lisa Nelson and Emerson Middle School in Niles.
