Sandra "Pepa" Denton was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and grew up in Queens, New York. As a college student Sandra teamed up with her friend, Cheryl “Salt” James, to form the Grammy Award winning hip-hop/rap trio Salt-N-Pepa. Accompanied by DJ Deidra Roper, becoming one of the most successful hip-hop groups of the late 1980s and 1990s.
Salt-N-Pepa are the first female rap group to attain platinum status and have sold more than 12 million albums. Their brand of girl power and strong feminine artistry changed the Hip-Hop landscape and blazed a trail for numerous female artists and groups in pop, R&B, and Hip-Hop genres.
Included in their catalog of hits from five studio albums are such classics as Push It, Shoop, Whatta Man, Expression, Independent, and the Grammy Award winning hit None of Your Business. These songs have appeared on film soundtracks and television commercials around the globe, propelling the group far beyond the scope of Hip-Hop. Salt-N-Pepa tour internationally on the strength of these records.
Angie Baraud

Angie is the CEO of Baraud International, the Cayman Islands’ pioneering recruitment and immigration consultancy. She spends a good portion of time advising organizations on setting up operations in the Cayman Islands from a staffing and immigration perspective. Her professional background is based in accountancy having spent over 12 years at PwC in both Canada and the Cayman Islands. Angie’s in-depth experience covers a variety of financial services including hedge funds, special purpose entities and insurance companies. She is very active in the Cayman community as well as 100 Women in Finance (100 WF). Angie is the Vice-Chair of the CPA Canada Cayman chapter board, an inaugural member of the Cayman 100 WF NextGen Committee as well as a sustaining 100WF Global Angel. More recently, Angie has also been appointed to the 100WF Global Advisory Council and the 100 WF Global Angels Council.
