Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Take Courage, Jesus is Calling

Questions for Family Discussion:
  • What did Bartimaeus, the blind man, say when Jesus asked “What do you want me to do for you?”
  • Close your eyes and listen quietly to the room. Do you notice anything while your eyes are closed?
  • If you heard a noise, were you curious to know what the noise was?
  • What do we ask Jesus to do for us?

Please consider reading the upcoming Sunday gospel together as a family. The questions above are good conversation starters as you prepare your children for weekly mass.
A Note from the Principal:

Dear SJE Families,

I am so excited to announce that we are considering the implementation of the K3 program for fall of 2019. The first steps in planning for a new program include polling families and friends of SJE to determine interest in the program for the first two or three years. Our K3 poll is currently active on our school website. To respond to the poll, please follow the link below:

Bringing new families into our SJE family is the number one goal of our recruitment efforts. Please share this survey with your friends and family, particularly those who have preschoolers.

Growing in God’s Love,

Mary Laidlaw Otto
