Stop by the CELT U Open House Today
Encourage your team to learn more about values-based programs by attending the CELT U open house from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. today, Sept. 19, on the 14er of the Emily Griffith Campus. 

Team members can pick up a copy of the new values-program guide , create a professional development schedule for the year and learn more about the Culture, Equity and Leadership Team. A progressive lunch, games and prizes are all part of the fun!

Applications for DPSManagement Program Due Friday
Recommend qualified team members for the fall DPSManagement program (DPSM) . Consisting of weekly workshops from October through January, DPSM supports assistant principals, deans, supervisors, managers and directors looking to hone their leadership skills, engage those they lead, facilitate change and develop a performance-based, team culture. Please recommend DPSM to a team member who would benefit from this valuable program.

Review Revised Purchasing Thresholds
DPS is modifying its purchasing thresholds i n response to changes in Federal Grant Guidelines. Effective immediately, purchases under $10,000 will be allowed on the Purchasing Card (p-card) and no price quotations are needed. For more information, please review the Purchasing Threshold Summary

New Salary Structure for Non-Bargaining Unit Positions
Effective July 1, DPS consolidated multiple salary structures to improve equity and consistency in pay rates for all of our managers and non-bargaining unit team members. Salary structures are a set of salary grades that include the minimum to maximum pay ranges for specific jobs. This change does not affect individual pay rates for employees

View School Calendar Reports on The Commons
DPS implemented a new process for collecting and distributing all  school calendars for 2018-19 using Infinite Campus. To help school-support teams manage their operations, these four comprehensive reports are available on the School Calendars page on The Commons :
  • Student first and last school days
  • Teacher first and last school days
  • School calendar detail
  • School calendar by day
The site has a full description and key terms for each report. Reports are refreshed nightly to reflect the most up-to-date information from Infinite Campus. If you have questions about the reports, email  David Woessner .   
Updated Division of Secondary Education Network Structure
The 2018-19 Network Structure for the Division of Secondary Education (DSE) is now available. Use this resource to see the distribution of schools among networks, instructional superintendents (ISs), operational superintendents (OSs) and school improvement partners (SIPs). You can also find the structure under "Quick Links" on the DSE page on The Commons.
