Updates & FYI
Review Revised Purchasing Thresholds
DPS is modifying its purchasing thresholds i
n response to changes in Federal Grant Guidelines. Effective immediately, purchases under $10,000 will be allowed on the Purchasing Card (p-card) and no price quotations are needed. For more information, please review the
Purchasing Threshold Summary.
New Salary Structure for Non-Bargaining Unit Positions
Effective July 1, DPS consolidated multiple salary structures to improve equity and consistency in pay rates for all of our managers and non-bargaining unit team members. Salary structures are a set of salary grades that include the minimum to maximum pay ranges for specific jobs. This change does not affect individual pay rates for employees.
DPS implemented a new process for collecting and distributing all school calendars for 2018-19 using Infinite Campus. To help school-support teams manage their operations, these four comprehensive reports are available on the School Calendars page on The Commons:
Student first and last school days
Teacher first and last school days
School calendar detail
School calendar by day
The site has a full description and key terms for each report. Reports are refreshed nightly to reflect the most up-to-date information from Infinite Campus. If you have questions about the reports, email David Woessner.
Updated Division of Secondary Education Network Structure
The 2018-19 Network Structure for the Division of Secondary Education (DSE) is now available. Use this resource to see the distribution of schools among networks, instructional superintendents (ISs), operational superintendents (OSs) and school improvement partners (SIPs). You can also find the structure under "Quick Links" on the DSE page on The Commons.
