Every Friday night in February the public is invited to join the well received
Black Film historian Lonnie Braxton for a guided film walk through Black History.
 
February 8, 2019:  learn about how  The Cold War and Civil Rights collide in this remarkable story of music, diplomacy and race. 
We will be viewing the documentary:
The Jazz Ambassadors.

February 15, 2019:  learn the  origin, history and impact of the 1882 law that
made it illegal for Chinese workers to come to America and for Chinese
nationals already there to become U.S. citizens.

English for Speakers of Other Languages Program:

English classes for those whose native language is not English have been
offered at New London Adult Education since 1910, helping thousands of
adults enter the mainstream of American life.
 
Classes will be held at the Library Monday through Thursday.

Creative Writers of NL County

Cookbook Book Club

to ask our IBCLC, CLC, and Peer Counselor your breastfeeding questions!

Baby Cafe USA is aimed towards new mothers, nursing moms and pregnant
women; however, it is open to everyone who is interested in learning about
how to support breastfeeding.

From 10:30am till 11:30am the Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center will be
bringing a live animal to introduce to the children.  We will share a story
about the animal, sing some songs, and learn some simple facts.
