Native Flowers

Fall planting encourages the growth of strong root systems and allows plants to establish during winter showers. Native plants typically require little maintenance, are well adapted to local conditions, have few pests, and don't require regular fertilizing. To find garden inspiration go on a virtual garden tour, explore our plant database, and download our Water Wise Native Plants for Santa Barbara County booklet on our website.

Pouring fats, oils, and grease (FOG) down the drain or garbage disposal creates obstructions in underground pipes and creates serious problems like blockage and sewer overflows. When washed down the sink, FOG can stick to the inside of sewer pipes (both on your property and under the streets). This holiday season, dispose of fats, oils, and grease properly using the tips on our website

Feel that chill in the air? So do your plants. Reduce your outdoor watering for the Fall when landscapes don't need as much water due to rain, cooler temperatures, shorter days, and plant dormancy. You can simply take a day off your controller schedule or plug in the Weekly Watering % Adjust on our website.
