Is Your Heart Connected to Your Kidneys?
by
Dr. CarolMarie

Why is that boy not speaking to me?  Living in Guam, going to a Guamanian school that was equipped with American teachers was quite an experience for a young pre-teen!  Guam, as you may know, is a territory of the United States and Dad had been stationed there with the Air Force.  Being a blonde on an island had the advantages among the dark hair natives, bringing boyfriends I had not had before!  I was eating it up!  It was Valentines and my girlfriend, and I wanted to make a card for our Guamanian boyfriends.  Wanting to sound sophisticated we wrote, "my heart yearns for you."  But not knowing how to spell "yearns" we sounded it out and wrote "urines".  The boys not knowing what that word meant, looked it up!  They did not want our hearts peeing on them so that was the end of our romance!

I loved being in a military family and the many places we were able to live, which causes me now to appreciate even more our men and women that serve our country! Several years ago, while changing planes in a major airport, a US Army troop was on their way home from an assignment.  I met a young woman in uniform and was thrilled to buy her a Starbucks she hadn't tasted in a while!  It was a small thing but how it honored her and touched her greatly!  I am touched also with the response I receive from our veterans when I thank them for their service! Wearing their hats proudly yet many times with tears, they thank me for caring! I encourage you to do the same!  They pay a great price for the freedom we are able to enjoy!

Would you like to visit the '40s and honor our military?  February 16th is our 9th annual "He's My Valentine" ladies' luncheon for widows and singles!  You have an opportunity to dress up like the '40s if you wish, as we celebrate the Lord as our ultimate Valentine!

Valentine's Day can be lonely for those who are single, but I learned a long time ago, to create new memories instead of hanging onto sad thoughts.  Wisdom cries at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. (Pro 8:3) The word "cries" can be translated "joyful, triumph, shout."  Joy is available to us at the entering in of this year and this holiday!

Click here to make your reservation, to sponsor a widow or sponsor a table for 10 to attend! https://annasgate.org/events/2019-02/ Cost is $20, with sponsorships available. Invite a friend as we enjoy one another, honor our country and celebrate the Lord!

God certainly hears the cry of the widow (Ex 22:23).  Let it be one filled with wisdom as we cry out in "triumph" believing for God to bless our land and bring harmony in our nation!  He will establish our borders or territory!  (Pro 15:25) We have a job to do and it's an honor to be living in such a time as this!  (We are in His army!)

God's heart yearns for our nation to return to Him!  Our hearts need to yearn for that as well!  Let's keep our romance alive with the Lord, for He truly is our amazing Valentine!

Want to be whole and to help others move into freedom?  See below the details of Sue Mead Stath's powerful half-day workshop this Saturday!

As we start off this new year, your gifts of kindness help us empower widows around the world.  Monthly partnerships are so appreciated and are pure religion (James 1:27) for Anna's Gate cares for the fatherless and the widow!  (We don't just give them the fish, we teach them how to fish and help others!)  Thank you for making a difference!

Be sure to read the Torah portions below that Jesus read during this time in history!  There is always something that relates to us in our place in history now!  That's so amazing to me!

Find out more about the month of Shevat on our website . Please email us your area of passion and the skill you desire to be developed so that we can agree with you in prayer!  ( [email protected] )  This is your time to excel into your greater potential!
