“Counting blessings. Offering respect. Learning how to listen. Clumsily prayerful most mornings I lay out my stones like a little girl with high hope and a clear vision. May we learn how to talk with each other, rather than at each other. May we remember that there are many sides to every story. May we practice turning over each one until we can begin to feel into what others are experiencing before we try to fix it. May we keep our kindness as our primary objective. May we release perfection and ease to live in the hard things and the difficulty. And may we call on our movement and our meditation to bring us closer to our fragilities and our uncertainties and our similarities.” ~ Elena Brower

As we ease into 2019, I am taking my time to mindfully construct a map for this coming year. For clarity and insight, every day for this first week, I am writing a short list of my gratitudes as well as what I will do that day. I am cultivating rituals rather than habits, trying to instill a sense of devotion into my daily practices. From these actions, I will create my year.

So as I work on my own intentions for the year, I share with you this powerful prayer, written by one of my favorite teachers, Elena Brower. I offer this to you with the hope that it will inspire you as it has me.

Much love,
Alana

Sound Baths are often referred to as “horizontal concerts” because everyone lies down on a yoga mat to enjoy the music and receive the vibrational healing. In this relaxed position and state of mind the Sound Bath begins with a beautiful guided meditation. The experience continues with the pure tones and overtones of quartz crystal singing bowls and the deep grounding vibrations of the didgeridoo, which together create a magnificent matrix of vibration to “recalibrate” the human energy system into a powerful place of resonance. The experience ends with the sounds of the Spirit Drum.
