Pacific Horticulture College Graduation

Pacific Horticulture College held a fantastic graduation ceremony on November 16 to celebrate the achievements of the fantastic full-time program students. It was an incredibly special evening filled with pride, positivity, and laughter. This group of students will be greatly missed around here at HCP, but we wish them the best in their bright futures as horticulturists. Congratulations to the PHC Class of 2018: Francois, Ryan, Claudette, Lauren, Michelle, Jesse, Jacob, Shannon, Kelsey, Maddie, Shy, Bekki, Skye, Kasia, Sauha, Abby, Tyler, Kaylee, and Jason!

Holiday Decor for Sale

We have lots of great gift and decor ideas in the Gardens at HCP.

Greens are $5 per bundle and handmade wreaths are $25 - $40 depending on size.

Snowmen are made by gardening staff from trees felled in the Gardens. The large ones are $30, small are $15, or one of each for $40.

There are loads of fabulous finds in the gift shop, from gardening tools to Christmas ornaments. Everything is on sale, 'Buy 2, Get 1 Free' for the rest of the month with lots of markdowns.  
 
We have many ideas for any list and you can enjoy the peace of the beautiful Gardens at HCP for a walk while you are here.  
Saanich Seedy Saturday - Save The Date!

Saanich Seedy Saturday is returning to The Gardens at HCP on Saturday, January 13th 2018 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

This year we will have an abundance of local certified organic seeds, along with tasty produce, a children's table, and quality vendors.

Guest Speaker, Dr Trevor Hancock, Hon FFPH will be speaking on the topic of "Feeding a One Planet Region" touching on how the District of Saanich leads the way with One Planet Living initiatives.

Help Us Connect People with Plants

The Horticulture Center of the Pacific is enjoying a few last sunny days of pre-winter glory with a stunning variety of colours on display. The Gardens are spectacular 12 months of the year and we are very fortunate to be able to enjoy them. We have had over 7,000 people visit and enjoy the Gardens this year!
 
As a charity, HCP relies on philanthropic contributions every year. Our Annual Fundraising Appeal, Keep the Flowers Blooming is now underway as we reach out to our community to help us meet our funding priorities. Thank you if you have already supported us this year. Your ongoing support is vital to our success.
 
Your donations will provide essential support to some of our Areas of Greatest Need.

Donating to t his fund will allow HCP the flexibility to spend funds where most needed.

Help protect our gardens with the most effective and permanent deer-deterrent fencing.

Provide children the opportunity to explore self-guided trails and the interrelationships of living and non-living elements in our environment.

 

Support our Irrigation Upgrade: Cost $10,000

Upgrade our irrigation system to use water efficiently while maintaining a thriving garden for years to come.
