The holiday season is in full swing as Thanksgiving and the shopping season approaches. At Frederick County Office of Economic Development, our team is preparing for the holidays by working with local businesses to organize Small Business Saturday and working with our farming community to focus on buying local turkeys and veggies for Thanksgiving.
We have been busy finalizing Frederick County's Top 50 Best Workplaces in partnership with Frederick Magazine. The results will be published alongside January's edition, and we can't wait for you to see all of the exciting things Frederick County businesses are doing for their workforce.
Below you will read more about how OED is changing to better align ourselves with the business community, our recent CEO networking event, and learn more about Kara Norman and her work with Downtown Frederick Partnership. Follow the link below to read the recently released report on visitor spending, and learn more about Hometown Business Hero, The Boulder Yard.
This is the season to give thanks, and OED would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our businesses and partners for all that ways they contribute to our community throughout the year.
Sincerely,
Helen Propheter, Director
