Work continues to move forward on the Oakland Road project. The contractor is currently working on underground utilities; this will continue for the next few weeks. Residents can anticipate water interruptions next week while crews hook up new water main lines. Please be on the lookout for door tags from the Water Department, which will help provide an estimated interruption time.

Looking ahead, crews plan to start milling the pavement from J Ave to 29th Street, starting the week of September 24. This work is in anticipation of paving, which is tentatively scheduled for the second week of October. Later this fall, Oakland Road will transition from a one-way to a two-way street between H Avenue and 32nd Street.
