Thank you everyone who came out to the Annual Meeting and Boat Cruise last week! The weather cooperated and we enjoyed a beautiful evening of good food and great company. Our 2019 officers and Executive Council members were introduced, and in case you missed it, here they are:

Congratulations to them all! Additionally at the meeting, we had a mini-quiz about ethics and gave away Starbucks gift cards to those who answered questions correctly. Need a refresher? Click here to read the entire Code of Professional Ethics and learn how IREM was started. We also gave away two tickets to the upcoming IREM Mega Meeting hosted by Chapters 8, 77, and 92. Our chapter is providing a bus for round-trip transportation to and from the event, which is being held at the Washington Marriot Wardman Park. More information is below and I hope you all can join us!

IREM Spotlight: Wednsdy Stewart

Congratulations to Wednsdy Stewart, IREM Maryland's most recent recipient of the   IREM Foundation Diversity Outreach Scholarship. This scholarship provides funding to take up the three IREM courses for the completion of an IREM designation. 

About Wednsdy:

"I'm an ARM® certified Regional Property Manager with 20 years of experience in the property management industry. I've successfully managed my current portfolio for the last 7 years at Blue Ocean Realty, which consist of residential and commercial properties. I'm currently working towards completing my CPM® designation. Becoming a CPM® has definitely been a goal of mine for some time and I'm extremely grateful to be on this journey! This is truly an honor and It would give me great pleasure to be listed amongst such an elite group of professionals."

Save the Date: Horizon Day Camp Walk for Pediatric Cancer Save
Horizon Day Camp, one of the charity recipients from this 
year's Golf Tournament, will be hosting a walking event in October and they want you to join! Here is a note from Mark McElrath, Executive Director at Horizon Day Camp:

"We are preparing for our HorizonWALKS event, which is one of our signature community events that occurs October 28 in Baltimore at Camden Yards. It's a community walk and fall festival around both of the sports stadiums; it includes live musical entertainment, mascots, carnival games, cheerleaders, special guests, face-painting, arts/crafts, and more. We are recognizing IREM as a sponsor as a small token of thanks for your philanthropic support. We would also like to invite you all and any IREM friends to attend."
