Multiple Carrier Booking Tips for Certify and Concur

You may have seen verbiage on either booking site that Southwest flights cannot be booked along with other carriers.  There are now other circumstances in which multiple carriers cannot be ticketed together, all of which are based on the fare rules of specific airlines and fares.  For example, JetBlue does not have interline agreements with other carriers in some markets, so their tickets must be issued separately.  American Airlines also has fares which do not allow that fare to be combined with other carriers.

If you receive an error trying to book multiple carriers for a trip, try booking them separately.  Agents can book multiple carriers together and ticket them separately, so you can call an agent as an alternative.  Both tools are aware of the issue and are working to enable a feature that will allow split ticketing.  We'll keep you posted with any developments.
