Lectors & Greeters
Lectors
Have you thought about serving as a Lector or Prayer Leader? Being a lector is a great way to deepen your appreciation of Sacred Scripture, and assist your fellow parishioners at Service to clearly and prayerfully hear the Word of God. Do you enjoy reading the bible? Would you like to help others hear clearly the Word of God? Lectors receive their readings the week prior to the Sunday they are serving. This gives Lectors time to read and understand the lesson as it should be spoken, as it is your voice being heard but it is God's word being spoken.

Greeters

Welcoming people as they enter our church is a joyful and inviting ministry.

The ministry of the greeter is to offer hospitality to those who enter our doors. This can consist of handing out service bulletins, collecting the offering, guiding the movement of people during Holy Communion and providing assistance as required throughout the service. A subsidiary mission of the Greeter is tactfully to maintain good order throughout the service, and to help with emergencies that may arise. Our Greeters normally arrive about 20 minutes prior to service.
Are you interested in either or both of these fulfilling ministries? If so, let us know.
Ways to Donate
Yes, we offer Pledge Envelopes and have our weekly Offertory but did you know we also offer the convenience of electronic donations through PayPal to make a one-time donation or to have a single or recurring donations count towards your annual pledge commitment?

It's easy - just click the donate button below and donate through a credit card (no PayPal account needed) or through your own PayPal account. You will be redirected to the PayPal website to complete the donation, then back to the St. James' website afterwards.
