Hunting season is in full swing and it's time to get out those rifles to make sure they will still hit what you are aiming at. Fortunately you are a valued PCSC member who has access to in my opinion the best range in north Texas.

PCSC held elections for Officers and Board Members at the October Meeting and there was a good turn out of voters, especially considering that no officers positions were being contested.
The directors position had six people going for four spots and two alternates. Everyone that ran for a spot will be in a leadership role of some sort if they wish to be. Thank you to all that ran for positions and all that showed up to vote.

On November 17th, PCSC is having a Grand Opening for the Sporting Clay Course. It will be for Members and their guest to come out and see what is going on in the north woods that is now a very cool wooded sporting clay range. Please put it on you schedule to attend you will need a shotgun, 100 rounds of ammunition, eye and ear protection. We will have some loner guns and supplies to assist you. If you have never shot Sporting Clays do not miss out it's something you are sure to enjoy. Be sure RSVP to Ruben Sandoval via the link you'll find down the way in this newsletter.

There are organized events at PCSC sure, but why you joined, to have a great  place in the country to enjoy the shooting sports, is still there. The board carefully guides policy to balance range access with organized events.

Competition at PCSC
I'm told the pistol match group has an internal email to keep each other updated on what is going on. Get signed up with them at the next match ! Also, the Facebook Private Group, 250 members, has sometimes updates on the Pistol Match activities and always look there for some interaction between participants.

Speaking of Facebook, like it or not, "Facebook" hosts Parker County Sportsman Club Page and Private Group. Parker County 4H has a major presence there, as does the Service Rifle Group. Pistol Match and Service Rifle match chatter show up in the private group. It's good. Especially the private group...no one reads unless a member.
Service Rifle Group is having plenty participation and a good time is had by all. Heck, just showing up to watch the Urban Match is worth the admission !  LoL . Seriously, safety and accuracy is exemplary with this group.
Check the Service Rifle Match Smiles !
