Aleena's Bath and Body Boutique, which officially opened for business in downtown Pontiac on October 13th, is a treasure trove of good smells and soft ambience.
Products range from bath bombs to foot scrubs and even to beard oil. Aleena's owner, Lynn Lloyd, prides herself on the array of products she stocks, and enjoys the process of testing them herself. If you need a recommendation, just ask! Her favorite products include eucalyptus bath bombs and a verbena Dead Sea salt foot scrub. If you're looking for locally crafted products, try the bath soaps and foot scrubs.

Kristy Masching Named 2018 ATHENA Award |

Kristy Masching, Livingston County Clerk and Recorder, was named the 2018 ATHENA Award Winner on Thursday, October 18.
She will be honored at this year's ATHENA Award Luncheon on Wednesday, November 7. The event will be held at Baby Bull's Fine Dining. Linda Lambert, Heartland Community College, will be the guest speaker.

Check for Unclaimed Property Through iCash at Chamber Office |

On Tuesday, October 30 a representative from iCash will be at the chamber office to help people with unclaimed property. She will be available from 9:00 am to noon and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Please feel free to stop by our office at 210 N Plum Street in Pontiac on October 30.
Unclaimed property consists of accounts and other financial instruments, usually intangible, being held at corporations, financial institutions, financial intermediaries, courts, and life insurance companies, that have gone dormant for a specified period of time based on property type.
Common types of unclaimed property include: checking and savings accounts, uncashed wage and payroll checks, uncashed stock dividends and stock certificates, insurance payments, utility deposits, customer deposits, accounts payable, credit balances, refund checks, money orders, traveler's checks, mineral proceeds, court deposits, uncashed death benefit checks and life insurance proceeds. Unclaimed property does not include real estate or vehicles.
