Dear Pennington Families,

Welcome to our new families, and welcome back to our returning families! The members of Parents for Pennington (the parents association) are very excited about the new school year and know you are, too. This is a great school community, as you will experience for yourselves. Your child's growth is Pennington's first priority, as you will discover if you are a new parent and already know if you are returning.

Parents for Pennington focuses on creating a welcoming community for our parents, students, and faculty, and on enhancing School spirit. We complement the School experience by supporting many different types of activities and events. We hope you will be involved in our activities and events and that we can work together to meet these common goals. This year we have many exciting activities planned!

Our beginning-of-year General Meeting was September 13. Dr. Hawkey discussed plans for this coming year, and Chad Bridges reviewed new student activities and programs. The Executive Board members introduced themselves and talked about their responsibilities as well as events planned for parents this coming year, including coffees, clubs, and--of course--the Red and Black Bash. The Bash is scheduled for February 23, 2019, in Sparks Gymnasium. Last year's Bash was a huge success, grossing over $94,000, and was a lot of fun for everyone! Please join us this year! More information will be forthcoming.
