Shell adds new, deep-water production with latest FPSO in Brazil

Prnewswire.com, October 24, 2018: New, deep-water production is underway today at the Lula Extreme South in the Brazilian Santos Basin. Royal Dutch Shell plc, through its subsidiary Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. (Shell) and consortium partners, announces that the FPSO P-69 is now producing. Operated by Petrobras, P-69 is a standardized vessel that can process up to 150,000 barrels of oil and 6 million cubic meters of natural gas daily.  It will ramp up production through eight producing and seven injection wells.  Read more...
Gazprom to build TurkStream's second land section in 2019

Hurriyetdailynews.com, October 25, 2018: Russian energy giant  Gazprom is planning to start the construction of the overland section of the  TurkStream second gas pipeline in  2019Gazprom's deputy chairman announced on Oct. 25. Alexander Medvedev, speaking to the  Gazprom corporate magazine, said the company aims to transfer a record volume of 200 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas by the end of this year, up from the 148.2 bcm exported in the first nine months of 2018.  Read more...

Saudi Arabia to invest in Russian-Chinese wealth fund

Rt.com, October 25, 2018: Riyadh is planning to provide major investments into the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) with the fund expected to be renamed, according to the head of RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev.  "In the near future, we will announce that Saudi Arabia is investing in RCIF and the fund will be renamed as the Russian-Chinese-Saudi Fund," Dmitriev said at the Future Investment Initiative (FII), Saudi Arabia's international investment forum.  Read more...
Nation's trade with Russia grows fastest in first three quarters

Globaltimes.cn, October 25, 2018: In the first three quarters, among China's major trading partners, its trade with Russia has grown the fastest, Gao Feng, a spokesperson for the Chinese  Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) told a press briefing on Thursday. The bilateral trade volume between China and Russia has reached $77.15 billion in the first three quarters, growing 25.7 percent year-on-year. And it is expected that the bilateral trade volume could reach $100 billion this year, setting a historical high.  Read more...

Turkey's Antalya becomes most popular destination among Russian air passengers in 2018

Tass.com, October 24, 2018: The Turkish resort city of Antalya became the most popular foreign destination among Russian airline passengers in January-August 2018. This is according to the data voiced at the Online Travel 3.0 conference, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) said. In the reporting period, passenger traffic from Moscow to Antalya grew by 50%, from St. Petersburg to Antalya - by 34%. Earlier, ATOR forecast that about 5.5 mln Russians will go on vacation to Turkey in 2018, which is 17% more than in 2017.  Read more...
Zambian Nuclear Reactor's Construction With Russia's Support to Begin in 2019

Sputniknews.com, October 25, 2018: The construction of a nuclear research reactor in Zambia with Russia's assistance is expected to begin in 2019, Shadreck Luwita, Zambia's ambassador to Russia, told Sputnik following the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Investment Forum in Moscow.  "To construct a research reactor, there are a lot of processes which are involved, including the international atomic energy approvals as well as a legal framework, which is being considered in this sitting of the Zambian parliament. SADC, Russia to sign MoU at investment forum

Southerntimesafrica.com, October 22, 2018: Southern African Development Community (SADC) and Russia would sign a new Memorandum of Understanding during an investment forum planned for October 23 in South Africa aimed at creating a unified regional platform to share with potential Russian businesses information on investment opportunities and investment climate in the SADC region. The Memorandum of Understanding envisages strengthening ties in a broad range of fields and it further shows that SADC remains comparatively as one of Russia's key regional partners in Africa.  Read more...
Egypt receives over 120 Russian business delegations in 2017/18

Dailynewsegypt.com, October 21, 2018: Egypt has received over 120 Russian business delegations in order to implement joint projects in the areas of oil and gas exploration, nuclear energy, railway transport, metallurgy, automotive production, agricultural machinery, construction, pharmaceuticals, and banking, in both 2017 and 2018, said the Head of Trade Representation of Russia in Egypt, Nikolai Aslanov. "The Trade Representation of Russia in Egypt has organized and conducted visits from 40 business delegations of Russian companies to Egypt, representing more than 70 companies during the period from January to August 2018," added Aslanov in a recent report that Daily News Egypt received a copy of.  Read more...

YIT starts a new residential project in Tyumen, Russia

Yitgroup.com, October 24, 2018: YIT has started construction of a new residential project in the city of Tyumen in Russia. Located in the city centre the approximately one-hectare plot will see the construction of two 17- and 21-storey residential buildings and a car park. Named City Zen, the project will consist of 292 apartments, most of which will be two- and three-room apartments. Sweden-based Semrén & Månsson Architects designed the buildings. Read more...

Russia, Uzbekistan Collaborate on Blockchain Adoption

Cryptovest.com, October 24, 2018: Russia and Uzbekistan are working together at the national level to implement blockchain solutions for various use cases. Also, the municipality of Tashkent will adopt blockchain services provided by two Russian companies. The Russian National Intellectual Property Transactions Coordination Center (IPChain) and the municipal authorities of Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on copyright protection by leveraging blockchain technology, local media agency TASS  reported last week. Trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan in January-August 2018 grew by 8.3%

Tass.com, October 25, 2018: Russia and Kazakhstan for 8 months of 2018 increased trade by 8.3%, to $11 bln, according to Director of the department of international cooperation of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan Kairat Torebaev. "In general, trade turnover with Russia is quite good, last year our trade increased by 25%. This year, only in 8 months, we increased it by 8.3% and reached over $11 bln," he said.  Read more...
Russian sugar producers interested in increasing supplies to Azerbaijan

Azernews.az, October 24, 2018: Russian sugar producers are interested in increasing the supply of their products to Azerbaijan. Board Chairman of the Union of Sugar Producers of Russia (Soyuzrossakhar) Andrey Bodin told Trend that to date, friendly contacts between Russian and Azerbaijani manufacturers have been established at a high level. "Russia and Azerbaijan have established professional business ties, including friendly relations between sugar producers in Russia and Azerbaijan. За 8 месяцев т.г. Россия на 60% увеличила экспорт злаков

Apk-inform.com, 23 октября, 2018: По итогам января-августа т.г. Россия экспортировала 35,6 млн. тонн злаков, что на 55,9% превышает показатель аналогичного периода годом ранее. Россия готова наращивать экспорт сои в Китай

Kazakh-zerno.kz, 24 октября, 2018: Состоялось 22-е заседание российской части Межправительственной Российско-Китайской комиссии (МПК) по подготовке регулярных встреч глав правительств. Как сообщает собкор ИА « Казах-Зерно», по вопросам растениеводческой продукции выступил заместитель Министра сельского хозяйства России Сергей Левин. Он, в частности, отметил, что - соевая продукция для Китая очень важна, - страна ежегодно закупает порядка 95 млн тонн сои.
